A few weeks ago I caught Peyton trying to get the dog's attention by saying "Here kitty, kitty.". I told her that he was a dog and and not a kitty and she should say "Come here Ray". She stood there and thought about it for a second. She had never called the dog or the cat by their names just simply "Cat" and "Dog". The longer she thought about it the more hopeful I was that she was going to call him Ray.
Well... Instead she said "Here kitty, kitty, DOG!". She made sure to emphasize "Dog" at the end and practically shouted it. She continued to do this for the rest of the day. Thankfully the dog is very tolerant of kids and can tell what they want of him, regardless of what they say, even if they say nothing at all.
I love my kids and my dog!!!
